What Youth Have to Say

After Boomerang I stopped blowing off homework, and tried to handle my frustrations.

Before Boomerang I wanted to be a leader, but I was too scared to step out of my comfort zone.  After, I believed in myself and became a great leader for my peers.

Before Boomerang I didn’t have a whole lot of motivation for things like college.  Now I feel as though college is attainable.  My “Big Dream” is to get a degree in education and, as of right now, the steps I am taking towards that is getting back into school and enrolling in harder classes so I can prepare myself.

What Educators Have to Say

...since implementing these tools, our school has experienced a significant reduction in recidivism (95%), suspensions and an increase in empathy, repair of harm, restoration of relationships, and appropriate consequences.  This, in turn, has helped to change the culture of our school for the better.

...RJ processes have also been used to address concerns of chronic attendance problems with a result of

87% improvement in unexcused tardies...

...the wide-ranging and dynamic work of the Youth Transformation Center provides an indispensable opportunity

for youth to tap into their dreams, make better choices, and inspire awareness, understanding, and

actualization of their full leadership potential.
