BREAKING NEW GROUND


Nine elementary schools in Harrison School District Two are receiving training and mentoring services in how to use Restorative Justice Practices effectively in classrooms to reduce discipline problems before they start.


The overarching goal of the grant is to early identify youth who may be targeted for suspension or expulsion in higher grades and provide them with the resources they need to succeed.


This generous grant was made possible through the Justice Reinvestment Crime Prevention Initiative (Colorado House Bill HB17-1326) and the unrelenting efforts of Christie Donner (center) and Colorado State Senator Pete Lee (2nd from left).
